Menkes Developments True Condos

Menkes Developments was found by the late Murray Menkes in 1954, and has since turned his eponymous real estate company into one of the biggest developers in Toronto.

While Menkes initially focused on constructing single-family homes, that changed over time. It didn’t take long for Menkes to start building master-planned communities, and today, Menkes is a major force in the Greater Toronto Area’s condo, office, and industrial markets operating as a fully integrated multidisciplinary real estate firm.

History

Menkes Developments Ltd is a family-operated business with deep roots in the city of Toronto established nearly 65 years ago by Murray Menkes.

Initially Menkes was to be focused on building single-family homes that delivered outstanding quality and lasting value. However, over the years Menkes grew to creating entire mixed-use communities, becoming a fully integrated, multi-disciplinary real estate development company. Menkes was an integral in building up North York’s core, and the iconic mixed-use Empress Walk condos, located opposite Mel Lastman Square on Yonge Street. Menkes projects have won many awards such as:
