Just Registered: Vinegar Co. Lofts
Queen City Vinegar Company Lofts at 19 River St is the latest condominium to be registered in downtown Toronto (as of about 2 weeks ago). Unit owners are now free to sell their units with no restrictions. Streetcar developments kept the occupancy period relatively short – only a few months for most purchasers. So kudos to Streetcar and congratulations to unit owners who are no longer paying occupancy fees!
Vinegar Company Lofts is a conversion of a 100 year old warehouse style building into 38 residential units. There is a mix of authentic lofts and new lofts in the building. Suite features include exposed brick and beam, stone counter tops, stainless steel appliances, high-end cabinetry, and ceiling heights as high as 14 feet.
Streetcar is keeping very busy in the area with other projects either completed or under construction including Broadview Lofts, Edge Lofts and the multi-phase Corktown District.
Once a forgotten area of the downtown, Corktown is quickly becoming a gentrified area with hundreds of new condos and homes either completed or under construction in the area around River and Queen Street. Still, the area is very much in transition and most area residents find themselves going east over the bridge to the Riverside neighbourhood (Queen and Broadview) for a great selection of coffee shops, restaurants, and shopping.ÂÂÂ
There is currently 1 unit still available for sale in the building – a 2 bedroom, 2 bath, 1046 sq ft penthouse that is listed at $499,900.
